Moving from YNAB
Export your register as a .csv file, then import it into Polaris Budget.
Moving from YNAB? Bring your accounts and history with you. Export from YNAB, then import into Polaris Budget.
- Export your register as a .csv file. If the download is a zip with a plan and a register, pick the register.
- In Polaris Budget, open Settings, then Import Transactions, and choose the file.
- Polaris reads the columns and lists the accounts in the file. Match each one to an account you have, or let Polaris create it.
- Categories can come with the file, or you can match them in the app.
- Pick a start month and budget forward. First-month setup walks you through it.
What comes with you
The accounts named in the file, your transactions, and their categories.
What does not
Budgets, targets and assignments. You set those in Polaris Budget.
Words you will see
- Ready to Assign
- Target (every month, every year, build up to, or by a date)
- Set Aside (park money for next month, and release it with one tap)
- A payment envelope for each card
