Card payment envelopes

One envelope per card. The reserve is what you owe, not only the statement.

Payment envelopes are visible lines on the budget, not a hidden subtraction from cash. A pay-in-full card names both figures — billed and building — so a charge after the statement cannot quietly reappear as money to assign.
