These terms govern your use of Polaris Budget (the “App”) and this website. By using the App or site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use them.

What the App is

Polaris Budget is a personal budgeting and financial-planning tool. It helps you organize accounts, transactions, budgets, and long-term scenarios. It is not a bank, broker, investment adviser, tax adviser, or lender.

Not financial advice

Retirement projections, portfolio benchmarks, cash-flow outlooks, card-rewards estimates, and similar figures are illustrative estimates only. They may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. They are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or product, and they are not personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Decide for yourself or consult a qualified professional.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and for decisions you make based on the App.
• You must only link accounts you are authorized to access.
• You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, and passcode secure.

Third-party services

Bank linking and market data are provided by third parties. Their availability, accuracy, and terms are outside our control. Outages or errors from those services may affect the App.

Local-first data

Financial data is stored on your device and (if enabled) in your Apple iCloud account. Our relay server is not a system of record for your finances. See the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the App or our servers (including attempting to probe, abuse rate limits, reverse-engineer secrets, or use the service for unlawful purposes).

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that balances, transactions, or projections will be accurate or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if the App is free).

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date above will change when we revise them.
